Been a Victim? File a Complaint with the FTC.

If you think you have become a victim, click here to submit a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Bureau of Consumer Protection about a particular company or organization. The complaint form found on the FTC site also may be used to submit a complaint to the FTC concerning media violence.

The information you provide is up to you. However, if you do not provide your name or other information, it may be impossible for the FTC to refer, respond to, or investigate your complaint or request. To learn how we use the information you provide, please read our Privacy Policy.

While the FTC does not resolve individual consumer problems, your complaint helps them investigate fraud, and can lead to law enforcement action. The FTC enters Internet, telemarketing, identity theft and other fraud-related complaints into Consumer Sentinel ® , a secure, online database available to hundreds of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies worldwide.

Important Note:

  • If you want to file a complaint about a violation of National Do Not Call Registry or register your telephone number on the Registry, please go to www.DoNotCall.gov/

  • If you want to file a report about Identity Theft, please use their Identity Theft Complaint Form by clicking here.

  • If you want to file a complaint about online transactions involving foreign companies, please use the complaint form found at www.econsumer.gov.
